I had a chance to drive a Mustang build by Legend Mustangs out of Atlanta. The car I drove had the new Hurst shifter for the S197s. Let me tell you, that shifter was the truth! It was the best feeling, best working shifter I've used yet. And I've driven quite a few Mustangs with different shifters.

1. I havn't driven a stang with the Hurst shifter, but have with other shifters. I am seriously looking at the Hurst because of the price. The 5.0's and Steeda's are really good but if we can find one that's just as good and cheaper..well ***

2. I concur. I bought the shifter for my S197 early on since it was one of the first available for the model line. It is slightly more difficult to install than the ones for Fox body stangs, but the feeling and effectiveness is MAGNIFICENT!

I have never felt another shifter on any car better than that.

3. The Hurst shifter is the best addition I have added to my 07 GT. Short and precise throw, you can't go wrong with it.
