Your tech editor, several of his Source Interlink Media brethren (guys from Car Craft, Hot Rod, Brand-X High Performance, Popular Hot Rodding, etc), and other members of the mag biz recently converged on Westech Performance Group (http://www.westechperformancegroup.com/) in Mira Loma, California, for a day of fun-and-games and a terrific lunch, all courtesy of Holley.

It takes big-time skill to handle nitro-burning RC monster trucks.

This Holley-carb'd bullet is our own Tom Wilson's 347--the subject of many a flog on Westech's Super Flow engine dyno.
Westech's Eugene Wald mans the controls while Matt Held of Holley looks on as a Brand-X small block is dyno tested.

Holley, which recently joined forces with Westech to become the dyno facility's "official carburetor company," did things up in grand style, with activities that included radio-controlled monster trucks that easily rumbled over huge stacks of headers (Hooker Headers is also part of the Holley group), a slot-car challenge and a driving simulator that pitted editors against each other in head-to-head competition for "fastest lap" supremacy. All in all, it was a fun time, and a cool break from the norm, and a chance to hang with our buddies from Race Pages in an environment other than along the walls of dragstrips on the NMRA trail.
