Ever since we’ve been covering late-model Mustang drag racing, the Keen brothers have been in the mix. Back in the day their weapon of choice was a Fox GT, which they raced for quite a few years. They’ve raced several cars over the years; most recently Tom Moore’s 10.5W car, but they recently purchased the Kevin Marsh/Chuck Samuel Mustang. For more info, check it out after the jump.

The Keen brothers have used every power adder save for a jet engine, but with this car they’re utilizing a Precision Turbo 106mm single turbo for mid-6s at around 220 mph. The brothers freshened up the existing Brodix-headed, Fast Times-built 417ci bullet before the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing at Joliet this past weekend. Jimmy does the shifting via a Liberty 5-speed while competing in the NMCA’s Pro Street and various Pro 5.0-style classes.

Though the boys endured an early exit at Joliet, they usually find their way to the front of the pack. We trust they will do the same once they get their heads around the new car.
