Yet another member of the mainstream press has delivered the hackneyed solid-axle attack on the GT500. I guess he's never driven a KR...


"The GT500 remains true to its roots -- boisterous and bumpy," wrote columnist Scott Burgess. "For many purists, this is the way every muscle car should roll. It's a wild animal, barely under control. But the Achilles heel to the Mustang is its solid rear axle. With so much power flowing through its veins, why would you want to create a concrete seam hopping machine? Take a tight turn and goose the throttle, and the GT500 will bounce like its got pogo sticks for a suspension."
