It’s been a few days since we returned from the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY. We’ve had a chance to digest most of the information, and take it all in…well, most of it anyway. We’re not going to let out all the secrets, but check out more information from the 2008 King of the Street after the jump…
No matter the numbers we’re told leading up to a King of the Street competition, things always change at the actual competition. We keep saying we’re going to rename the Horsepower segment the ‘That can’t be right’ Horsepower segment because every year someone says something about their car making more horsepower back home. That’s why we put every competitor on the same dyno on the same day. Chances are if one competitor is down on power, everyone else will be down, as well. We’ve proven that to be true every year.
To give you a taste of the power we encountered at the 2008 King of the Street we averaged the horsepower between all 11 competitors. Most would be astounded to know the average came to 775 horsepower. That was the average power from all 11 cars so you know we had several high-horsepower Mustangs strapped down to The Horsepower House’s Dynojet.
We would tell you more, but then we’d have to kill you. Check back for more information on the 2008 King of the Street.
