As you know, I spend a lot of time working with Mustangs on various chassis dynos. In most cases, projects that involve running a 'Stang on the dyno are highlighted by seeing (hopefully) significant rear-tire performance gains that result from installing a single or combination of high-performance parts.
We recently conducted a small-scale bolt-on/dyno marathon with Abraham Becerra's '06 Pony, out at GTR High Performance in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Corsa Performance Exhausts' all-new, "Ultimate Touring" Exhaust System (PN 14313) for '05-'09 S197 Mustang GTs was among the various parts that we installed, and I think they sound great when the 3V engine in Abraham's 'Stang starts climbing the rev scale. Corsa's Ultimate Touring after-cat muffs are designed for performance, but since they're made with Corsa's RSC sound-cancellation technology, they're super quiet inside the car, which makes them perfect for clean, cruiser-type Mustangs that pack a decent punch when the pedal is mashed.
I shot a little video clip of a couple of dyno blasts with the Ultimate Touring exhaust setup in place on Abraham's Pony. You'll have to believe me when I say that the mufflers eliminate interior drone. They really do! I caught the super-clean, strong sound that other motorists or folks standing on the sidewalk now hear, when Abe's out driving his pride-and-joy!
