I gotta give it to the folks who created YouTube. The online video site definitely is infectious and it usually has me sitting in front of the computer monitor, watching all sorts of racing, dyno, wheelstand, in-car and other high-performance videos for a lot more time than I should be spending on that stuff.
I recently came across an in-car clip that was posted by a young speed demon and I think it's someting worth sharing with folks who tune into the blog. There's a lesson in this one. I'm sure it's a lesson that can be interpreted differently by different people, but I think you guys need to check this out--after the jump, of course...
I guess one good thing about the video you're about to watch is that the driver isn't in a 'Stang.
In a nutshell, this dude rolls out of Gateway International Raceway after a night of street-grudge racing, and proceeds to BOMB down the freeway at speeds of more than 140 mph--with his in-car video camera rolling!
Look at the title of this blog again and I'm sure you'll get a better idea of what might have happened. No, the video doesn't show a high-speed accident, but it does serve as a great example of what can happen (and the HUGE amount of trouble you'll be in) when you exercise extremely poor judgement while you're behind the wheel.
Keep the racing on the track!
