I recently spent an afternoon at Raceskinz in Van Nuys, California [(818) 988-0577; www.raceskinz.us.com], and checked out something that actually is not related to our Pit Boss golf-cart resto, or the upcoming body beautification that the Boss 340 Mustang will be getting very soon.
What did the Raceskinz crew show me? As a fan of carbon fiber, I'm sure Big Steve will really dig this...
I was given the exclusive opportunity to check out the very-first installation of Raceskinz all-new, 100 percent carbon fiber, rear diffuser cover for GT500s; a long-anticipated accessory, and, after seeing first-hand how awesome it looks, something I think a lot of Shelby owners will want to adorn their rides with.
The release of this diffuser cover kicks off Raceskinz new venture into offering its carbon-fiber S197 pieces for sale to the general public (parts were previously exlcusive to a popular Mustang accessorizer), and company co-owner, Mike Smith, says there is a LOT more to come (don't forget, this is the same company that produces the wicked, carbon-fiber stripe kits for '05-'09 'Stangs, and rumor has it, they're currently working on an S197 fuel door assembly that will be done completely in carbon).
The piece looks too hot to hold back, so here's a photo for you. I'll be providing details on its installation in an upcoming Tech Inspection report, which you'll see on the pages of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords in a few months.
Bad to the bone, I tell 'ya!
