OK, so I was already on track to have a great week, as I was looking forward to attending CrueFest 2 right after work tonight. However, my week went into the stratosphere when Ronda Svinicki, the official photographer of Paul's High Performance, sent me some spy shots of the Fox 500 wearing its new shoes...

If you haven't been following the saga of the Fox 500 closely, I came with the crazy plan of creating a Fox Mustang with a GT500 powerplant. The crew at Paul's High Performance (www.paulshp.com) signed up to make that crazy dream come true.
Along the way we thought it would be cool to narrow the rearend a bit and install actual GT500 brakes. Cool stuff for sure, but the combo presented the unique challenge of finding wheels that would fit. Couple that with my desire to move up to 18-inch wheels, and it was a mathematical head-scratcher.
Fortunately the Mustang fans a True Forged Wheels (www.trueforgedwheels.com) offered to create a custom one-off set of wheels to fit our bizarre, but cool combination. After many measurements, a test-fits, and a redesign of our wheels, the final product has arrived. I think you will agree the combination looks sick.
So, the car is basically an alignment away from being a runner, so look for one more buildup story in the pages of 5.0&SF before she heads to the paint shop for a Wild Strawberry bath.
