As some of you who have been following our involvement with the Castrol Syntec Top Car Challenge already know, Ron Cooper is 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords' representative in the performance/endurance contest.
Ron runs a self-built, Vortech-blown SN-95 Cobra Mustang that showed the true versatility (scored well in all tests) that we knew would make it a great choice for cometing in The Challenge, and hopefully nailing down the ten-thousand-dollar winner's prize.
The event is over, and the road course test--with 200 points--was the exciting grand finale. The Castrol Syntec Top Car Challenge was been a great time. I can't disclose official positions, but I'm confident that the 5.0 entry will finish very close to the top of the 7-car pack when all of the scoring is tabulated.
Here are a few photos of some of the highlights of the Castrol Syntech Top Car Challenge. There was one lone Brand-X car, a '68 Brand-X Caprice, which represented Lowrider magazine. The rest were obviously Euro and Import cars, that actually are quite impressive, despite my personal disdain for any of them! Hah!
Addendum: Unfortunately, our Web site seems to be having some sort of problem with uploading my Top Car Challenge photos. I'll try and get some shots posted as soon as the technical folks can get things straightened out. Thanks for your patience.
