If you are a longtime reader of 5.0&SF, you know that we've been making sporadic progress on our Fox 500 car for the last two plus years. Well, I recently received an email from Kim O'Dell about her son Stephen's ’92 Fox that's already up and running with its own supercharged GT500 engine.
It looks like Stephen and I are on the same paint schedule, however. Learn more an see the engine shots and YouTube linkage after the jump...
"My son and husband love your magazine! In your August 2009 magazine there was an article about the Fox 500 titled 'It's Alive,'" Kim wrote. " After reading the article, my son asked me to email you about his 1992 Fox Mustang with a 5.4 GT supercharged mode motor that has been alive for well for over a year!"
Color me jealous. Stephen has been rolling in his for over a year, and he's already had it on the dyno at Modular Depot in Cincinnati, Ohio. With the same six-speed/3.73 gear arrangement our project has, Stephen's ride has put down 512.26 horsepower to the rear tires. Peep the YouTube vid here.
Stephen and his dad have done most of the work on the car together, which makes it an awesome father/son project. He hopes to get it painted this winter, so maybe we'll "finish" ours first, maybe.
