It's crazy how quickly "time flies" (yeah, yeah, yeah...when you're having fun). In this instance, we're talking about nearly five years.
As some of you know, I handle the editorial side of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords' tech program from the small, but functional cube on the 8th floor of the Source Interlink Media office in Los Angeles.
As I showed you in a blog I posted a long while back ("My Space") I certainly made myself at home in my cube, and over the years, I guess I subliminally accumulated a lot of "stuff (press kits, "chatzkas" such as key chains, pens, etc, parts and more)."
I recently had to figure out what to do with all of my "stuff," as our company is taking its SoCal operation to new locations in Los Angeles.
As you see in this photo, I had my work cut out for me when it came time to break down my area. How did it go? I'll explain after the jump.
After 12 hours of packing, reminiscing, reading, smiling, almost crying, almost throwing away and actually throwing away mementos, papers, photos and such, I got my once-packed cubicle broken down into 6 cardboard boxes.
It's amazing how much stuff is accumulated over time...and how quickly (12 hours is relatively quick for the amount of stuff I had to do something with) it is reduced to, well, nothing.
I'm gonna miss the old workspace. El Segundo, here I come!
