Though the factory electronic throttle calibrations seem to get better every year, there's a new product called the Sprint Booster promising to make yours better immediately. Check out the official press release after the jump...
When you put the pedal to the metal, nothing beats the roaring sound and feeling of instant acceleration. Sprint Booster is engineered to enhance the driving experience by providing superior acceleration by eliminating the delay inherent in drive-by-wire accelerator technology. This is accomplished by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal while providing the ECU (Electronic Control Module) with a new and altered signal for much quicker throttle response. The actual device contains electronic circuitry that is installed between the accelerator pedal and the ECU in vehicles equipped with electronic throttle control.
Sprint Booster is an entirely new product that is environmentally correct. After installation there is absolutely no change in factory emissions and it is fully certified having obtained the demanding, German TUV approval for gas, diesel and hybrid vehicles.
Sprint Booster represents completely new technology, with no direct competitors. Enhances throttle response by increasing pedal input sensitivity, delivering more impressive off-the-line performance that drivers can genuinely feel. Installation is simple plug-n-play takes only a few minutes and rarely requires tools. Sprint Booster delivers instant response throughout the power band, making acceleration and merging with traffic a totally new and confidence inspiring experience. Shift points are redefined and maximized when paired with an automatic transmission. Standard, CVT and DSG transmission versions are also offered. Brand new for SEMA is a programmable version with Stage 1, Stage 2 and “Off” settings.
Here is a typical response to Sprint Booster. “Just thought you might like to know that I have pretty much finished the set up of my 2010 C$#$%^. Despite all of the other things we did (at a Connecticut Chevy dealership), cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, hypertech tuning, my service manager and “performance guru”, said that the single mod that most impressed him in terms of “changing” the car was Sprint Booster. He will be looking into it for his own vehicles and recommending it to his customers, especially C%^&*( owners.”
Sprint Booster is application-specific and available for more than 200 late model vehicles currently sold in North America from smart cars to hybrids to trailer towing diesels. MSRP is $349.
