If you absolutely, positively have to own the biggest twin-screw supercharger on the block, Lethal Performance now offers kits with Whipple's giant 4.0-liter supercharger, which is now an option on the ’10 Cobra Jet.

Check out the official PR after the jump...

Stage 2 Kit - 4.0L Supercharger Kit with Whipple Cold Air Intake and 123mm MAF

Stage 3 Kit - 4.0L Supercharger Kit with Whipple Cold Air Intake, 123mm MAF and Whipple Super Monoblade Throttle Body

Introducing the largest and most powerful twin screw supercharger system available for the 2007-2010 GT500. The Whipple 4.0L Super Crusher kit is the same exact supercharger system used on Ford's 2010 Super Cobra Jet and the Lethal Performance 2010 GT500.  In fact Lethal Performance was the first to ever run the 4.0L on a production GT500.

The 4.0L flows 2518 CFM and has a peak rpm of 18,000. It's massive Super Crusher inlet and Super Monoblade throttle body remove all restrictions and allow this blower to make some insane power. Currently the 2010 SUper Cobra Jet has been 8.90's @ 153+ MPH and makes over 900rwhp. On our built GT500 motor with aggressive cams and extensive port work we saw peak boost of 21.5 with the 4" upper pulley and 10% lower balancer. This particular combo on a Mustang Dyno yielded us 779rwhp which equates to over 870rwhp on a Dynojet. At any point a smaller 3.5" pulley could be used to increase boost and turn this baby up.

The 4.0L as far as fitment goes will fit under the stock hood with the use of the same engine lowering kit that's used to fit the 3.4L on the GT500. However due to the size of the Super Crusher inlet modification to the faux firewall is required. You will also lose the use of the passenger side wiper. At a later date Whipple will be offering a smaller inlet on the 4.0L which will keep you from having to modify the faux firewall and lose use of the passenger side wiper motor.

In addition to that it's important to note that since this is a competition blower kit there is no provision for the EGR valve and it's highly recommended to have a built motor and supporting fuel system to be able to properly handle the power that this blower is capable of.
