My '94 Cobra is no show car. I drive it everyday, it has easily over 150,000 miles on it, and many of its panels feature more waves than the ocean. However, when it's washed, it's not too bad. Therefore, when Brandon Ford, the dealer right across the street from our Tampa, FL offices, had its most recent Roush Mustang Show, I took the opportunity to stop in for a visit. Check out the pics and words after the jump...
Brandon Ford has long been a supporter of Roush Performance, carrying Roush Mustangs for several years now. I believe Brandon Ford is one of the larger, if not the largest Roush dealer in the country. The dealership always has at least 20-30 Roush Mustangs on the lot. Hence, Jack Roush himself stops in for a visit around the same time as the NASCAR Homestead race at the end of the season. This year the show took place November 19th, and featured probably 100+ Mustangs from every generation, with various other Fords in the mix, as well.
As part of the show, Mustang fans were able to get Jack Roush's autograph...on anything. Well, almost anything. I saw guys carrying in nitrous bottles, radiator covers, visors, and the usual posters and such. Then Jack made his away through the car show field to sign dashes, steering wheels, and other items not easily removed and toted into the dealership.
The show featured a mix of old Mustangs, new Mustangs, even a 2005 Ford GT the dealership had for the bargain price of $149K. My Cobra was one of just a few of SVT's, but the others were nicer than mine. One was a Teal '93 Cobra that is in excellent shape, and then a couple '03-'04 Cobras were in attendance, as well.
If you're in the central Florida area in mid-November, and who wouldn't want to be - the Roush Mustang show needs to be on your list to attend.
