On the Dyno

It's Time to Rock the Rollers

Well, I thought more of you would take a stab at predicting our Trick Flow 408 Clevor's horsepower and torque (at the rear wheels of Greg Montoya's '89 GT).

We didn't receive many guesses, but I am very pleased that more than 20 of the magazine's Facebook friends actually "like" the project and our effort to make good power with the unique engine combo.

The man and the motor.

By the time this blog posts on Tuesday morning, there will be T-minus 3 hours remaining in the countdown to strapping Greg's GT to the chassis-dyno's rollers.

As you all know, I work with the dyno quite a bit. I admit all the time that "being on the dyno" and testing cool Mustangs and engines is really one of my favorite "job responsibilities (I think of them more as privileges)."

We're all set to rock the rollers later today. I'm excited about this one. Seriously. If you're a Fox-body Mustang fan and you're not really paying attention to this project, I think you're doing yourself a disservice--especially if an engine upgrade is in your Pony's future.

Seriously, stay on top of this deal. The bottom line is, now that a fuel-injected Clevor swap has become a lot easier to pull off than it ever has been, we'd definitely like to hear about and hopefully SEE more of you all doing them!

Keep your eyes peeled for our 408 Clevor's dyno stats in an upcoming issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords.
