Clevor Racer

What Did It Run?!

Greg Montoya certainly is a clever "Clevor" Mustang racer.

The owner of our latest Fox-body project ride; a 1989 Mustang GT, powered by the Coast High Performance-built, 408 Clevor engine we've been talking about quite a bit lately, recently took the Pony out for a little dragstrip action at Auto Club Dragway. Of course, I was was there, and I'll be putting together a full report on how things went.

I guess you're wondering what makes Greg so clever. I'll tell you, after the jump...

We think Clevor Greg is a clever guy because he's really doing an excellent job of doing different things with his car, and providing just enough information online to keep interest in the project high...without spilling all of the critical beans.

At this point, you know that's something we (me, Big Steve and Associate Editor Mike Johnson) don't do when it comes to cool, performance-focused projects, so all I can suggest and ask is that you hang in there if you're really into Project Leave It to Clevor. Details on our dyno testing is on deck and results of the quarter-mile experience follow that story by an issue or two.

Exciting stuff. Good stuff...that you'll only read about on the pages of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine!
