I'm in the thick of a tech project right now that focuses on....
Mustang appearance upgrades.
Yeah, that's right. KJ; your tech editor who eats, drinks and sleeps "big steam," is currently in the middle of making cosmetic mods on our project '02 GT, for an article that will appear in an upcoming issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords.
Unfortunately, the "good-looks" side of our hobby is something we don't focus on very much from a tech-project perspective. Well, I'm doing something about that, and you can find out what it is after the jump...
For the record, while it seems like I'm constantly preaching the gospel of rear-wheel horsepower (OK, maybe I am), I really do have all kinds of appreciation for drop-dead-gorgeous Mustangs.
So many of you put your time and hard-earned funds into dressing your 'Stangs up and making them look absolutely killer, with wicked paint jobs, bad-ass wheels, sick interiors and more. How could a person not appreciate that?
To make things a little more "right" for those of you who really dig the show side of our hobby, I'm working on a story that will give you insights on how to give a Pony a neat facelift, with parts selected from Mr BodyKit.com (www.mrbodykit.com).
Keep your eyes on the magazine, as this story should be coming up soon. The photos included here were taken Ford Auto Body in Van Nuys, California (www.fordautobody.com), where I've been following the professionals there as they prep, paint and install our 'Stang's new outfit.
