Need an easier way to get your ’Stang in the trailer? Well Rail Ryder has a cool option. Check out the official press release after the jump...
Rail Ryder has received the 2012 NSRA New Product of the Year Award. Rail Ryder took the prize in the $1001 and up category. The award was accepted by Rail Ryder owner, Dale Hofius, at the 43rd Annual Street Rod Nationals in Louisville Kentucky on August 3. Rail Ryder was chosen by NSRA member judges (magazine editors, car builders and non-exhibiting vendors) from a field of ground breaking new products entered by street rod performance companies.
Rail Ryder owner, Dale Hofius, states, “We are very excited that Rail Ryder was recognized with this prestigious award. Rail Ryder was developed because it is such a challenge to get your car into a narrow envelope and a bigger challenge to secure once inside a trailer. The most common phrase we heard used to describe the system during the show was 'SLICK, I wish I'd thought of that'.”
About Rail Ryder
Rail Ryder is a patented one-man trolley loading/unloading and securing system for enclosed motorsports trailers. It is designed with lightweight, all aluminum custom extrusions. The scar-free system allows you to tie down cars quickly and easily outside the trailer.
In 2002, the first drawings for Rail Ryder were put to paper. Prototypes and testing began over the next few years. Custom extrusions became necessary to streamline production. Numerous proprietary dies were designed, tested and built. A patent on the product was granted in 2009. Rail Ryder debuted its product in July 2011 and has continued to grow its customer base.
Rail Ryder received the 2012 Goodguys 15th Annual PPG Nationals People's Choice New Product of the Year award in Columbus, Ohio in July 2012.
