The AIRAID system starts with a 4.25-inch diameter roto-molded intake tube, which offers excellent heat rejection qualities. It also features a velocity stack to increase airflow and incorporates a 100mm MAF housing. The Intake Tube connects to a one-piece roto-molded Cold Air Box via a urethane “hump hose” and 100-percent stainless steel clamps. The box is designed to keep hot engine compartment air away from the filter while increasing the amount of cold air available. Blade-style weather-stripping seals the air box to the hood, further eliminating hot air.
The heart of AIRAID’s MXP Intake System is the massive 1,300-cfm air filter, which provides the engine with a steady supply of clean, cold air. The air filter is washable & Reusable and is available in either SynthaFlow (oiled) or SynthaMax (non-oiled) filtration technology and is constructed with a special blend of urethane.
