The new X-Factor cross member from American Powertrain makes putting a TKO, AOD or TREMEC 6-Speed in the 1983-93 Mustangs a quick bolt-in.
The X-Factor cross member bolts to the original supports in the Fox Mustang, just like an OE cross member, but features the correct dimensions for your favorite modern transmission.
Made in the USA using their new modular construction, this X-Factor cross member is constructed from laser cut T-6061 aluminum, making it incredibly light and exceedingly strong, perfect for street or track applications. Flex tested for applications up to 1,000 hp the X-Factor for Fox bodies provides clearance for exhaust tubes up to 3.5” in diameter.
Offset the X-Factor forward to install the TKO or AOD, or flip it to the rear to fit the Ford spec T56 or Magnum 6-Speeds.
